What to Expect at Mayberry

We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed when you join us for worship. So here is what you can expect on a typical Sunday at Mayberry.

When You Arrive

We are a friendly bunch at Mayberry, so don't be surprised if you are greeted before you even walk through the door! To provide more space during the pandemic, we began worshiping in both our historic rock church sanctuary and our community outreach building across the street via video link. So feel free to join us in whichever space makes you more comfortable.

Durring the Service

Each service will vary slightly, but generally, the service will start with a musical prelude followed by announcements. After the announcements, there will be times for prayer, confession, and joys and concerns. The scripture and sermon will follow with the service ending with the Apostle's Creed and Blessing. Hymns will be interspersed throughout the service with music in the bulletin or hymnals.

Typically the service will last just under an hour.

After the Service

After the service, we gather in the community outreach for fellowship. Pastor Jeff will stop by briefly before heading to our yoked church Bluemont for their service. Most Sundays, refreshments are provided, and the congregation is encouraged to eat, drink and enjoy the company of one another.
